As a rule of thumb always keep a separate food bowl for water and dry cat food. If you feed your cat moistened cat food this must also be in a separate dish as well and cleaned after use so as to avoid bacteria.
   There are a variety of cat feeding bowls in the market today from plastic to stainless steel. Its best to choose feeding bowls that are sturdy with non-slip bases. Some owners allow their cats or kittens to drink from a saucer. You should never try to feed your kitten in a saucer since kittens will always try to climb into the food saucer and make a mess on themselves and your floor.
