Household Hazards for Kittens
by
KittyKondo.com
There are many potential hazardous places for your kitten around
the house. Kittens love small, dark places so you should always
check for them before using chimneys, check any holes or gaps in the floor or under the bath tub.
Kittens have also been known to get into washing machines and
dryers so its a good idea to find out where your curious kitty
is before pressing the start button. Block access behind tight
places like the back of stoves and refrigerators. Kittens can
also get trapped inside cupboards and freezers without you
knowing.
Be careful of cat toys with small pieces that can be chewed and
accidentally swallowed. Many visits to the vet have happened where kittens have swallowed needs with the thread
attached or rubber bands. Make sure these dangerous sharp items
are not accessible to your kitten. A kitten can get almost
anything into its mouth.
