     Many household and garden plants can be poisonous to cats. If a cat ingests a poisonous plant he or she may get a mild stomach upset or burning of the skin or even instant death.  Cats do not normally eat too much plant life but a bored kitten will chew almost anything. Never leave your kitten alone in a room with a poisonous plant. Also, be careful of flowers like the cornflower, delphinium, iris, and hyacinth because they are known to be poisonous to cats. You can get a list of poisonous household plants or flowers from your local vet or refer to the list below.
