Cat Collars

Its important for your new kitten to have a cat collar with all
proper identification attached at all times. Even if your kitten will be
living entirely indoors there is always a chance that he/she may
slip out and become lost.
You should choose safety-type collars that can allow your kitten
to wiggle free in case the collar gets caught. The collar should
also be reflective or fluorescent so it can be seen on roads and
low light conditions. The collar when placed on your kitten's
neck should not be too tight: You should be able to fit your
finger underneath the collar so it isn't too tight on your
kitten.
Some owners attach a bell to their cat to warn birds and other
prey of their approach. This can serve the purpose but in time,
cats also learn to keep their head very still upon approach
which may lessen the bell's effect.
